Postgraduate study in USA

The Embassy of the United States of America 
The Peterson's Guide is an excellent reference for all postgraduate opportunities in the USA 
www.studyusa.com A guide for international students on studying in the USA 
www.utexas.edu/world/univ/state/ A directory of US universities.
www.finaid.com Information on US scholarships, grants and assistantships. 
The Gourman Report Generally agreed to be good ranking system of American universities. Check in your college library. 
The Fulbright Commission. www.fulbright.org and www.fulbright.ie One of the better known sources of funding for US study. Fulbright information is also available on the US Embassy website. 
The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. Fellowships available with a strong emphasis on the Humanities and Social Sciences. John F. Kennedy Fund Grants available for postgraduate study in public affairs, politics, finance, public administration and communications.

Postgraduate study in Great Britain

www.gradschool.com A great information resource for PhDs and researchers 
The British Council The British Council will consider funding a wide range of postgraduate courses/research (non UK residents would be eligible for fees-only support). 
The Arts and Humanities Research Board offers studentships in the Humanities and awards for Doctoral study in the Creative and Performing Arts.
