The Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering and Technology and, in the UK, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council provide funding for students wishing to continue with postgraduate study in engineering.
It is also possible to obtain sponsorship of funding from industry if the topic being researched is of specific interest.
